What is IASTM therapy?

IASTM (Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) is a specialized technique where therapists use handheld tools to gently break down scar tissue, reduce muscle tightness, and improve mobility.

It’s commonly used for tendonitis, muscle strains, plantar fasciitis, IT band syndrome, scar tissue from surgery or injury, and chronic pain or stiffness.

Some mild discomfort or redness is normal, but treatment should not be overly painful. Most patients feel relief and improved mobility after sessions.

The tools help detect and treat areas of restriction in soft tissue. By applying controlled pressure, IASTM stimulates blood flow, promotes healing, and restores proper movement.

Many patients notice improvements in mobility and pain after just a few treatments, especially when combined with therapeutic exercises.
