Your First Visit

  • During your first visit, please arrive 10 minutes early with completed paperwork that can be downloaded from our website. If you have a referral for physical therapy, provide it, although it may not always be necessary. We will make a copy of your insurance card. The therapist will conduct an initial evaluation, discussing your medical history, current complaints, pain levels, and how it affects your daily activities. They will then perform an objective evaluation, including tests such as palpation, range of motion, muscle testing, and neurological screening. Based on the evaluation, a personalized treatment plan will be developed, considering your input, therapy frequency, duration, home exercises, and goals.

  • Please remember to bring your physical therapy referral from your doctor(if you have one) and your payment information. If your insurance covers the cost, have your insurance card with you. For Workers' Compensation coverage, bring your claim number and case manager's contact details. If you have coverage through auto insurance, please bring the relevant information along.

  • To ensure a thorough examination and treatment, we recommend wearing loose-fitting clothing that allows easy access to the area we will be evaluating and treating. For knee issues, wearing shorts is ideal, while a tank top is suitable for shoulder problems. If you have low back problems, we suggest wearing a loose-fitting shirt and pants to facilitate a comprehensive examination.

  • Sessions generally last 45-60 minutes.
